# Tool Usage

Most right-click functionality of tool items (Axes, Shovels, & Pickaxes) has been delayed by a very short time. This is to reduce the chance of accidental right-click effects on blocks while limiting the effect on times when players actually mean to do it.

This effect only occurs once per right-click, meaning holding the button down will not continuously delay usage.

Pickaxes can now be used to [Crack Brick](/great-big-world/blocks/cracked-bricks.md) type blocks.
