# Sawmill

The Sawmill is a crafting utility block that acts as a Stonecutter alternative for wood type blocks.

It is crafted with 2 Planks, any 1 Log in the bottom center, & 1 Iron Ingot.

Sawmills can craft most basic wood blocks, as well as [Chiseled Wood](/great-big-world/blocks/chiseled-wood.md) blocks.
